La Carbonara –  A  Villanelle

Spaghetti carbonara is a surprisingly easy dish

But what one must never forget, as with all Italian food:

Everything must be made with love from start to finish.

 

Start by whisking together eggs and pecorino and parmesan and salt and pepper, feel free to use whites and yolks,

Where the ratio can be set by your folks!

Now ensure to gently fry your Guanciale in a pan,

Make sure not to burn it, as I found out it definitely can!

Separate the fat and add some to the eggs mixture,

Save the crunchy pieces of Guanciale for a beautiful picture.

Spaghetti Carbonara is, trust me, a very easy dish.

 

Add your pasta to gently boiling and salted water,

Making sure that it doesn’t get too much hotter.

Everything, including the pasta, must be made with love.

 

Now for the final step, combine all elements,

Although it is emotional to see such a beautiful creation, try not to get too many sentiments.
