Decadent Pear Panna Cotta

When it comes to cooking, it seems to me a lot of people are often overwhelmed by the idea of cooking itself. It is not necessarily due to a lack of ability, recipes, ingredients or facilities that they do not cook, but simply because they do not have the confidence to get started. I hope to demonstrate, as someone who has been in this position, what can be achieved in a kitchen difficult to work with. Sometimes this requires quite a lot of patience and some degree of acceptance that often this will end in failure. However, I hope to give everyone confidence with these recipes that have been made with limited facilities by a student with both a limited budget and time constraints. For those who are more advanced cooks, I hope that my multicultural background provides new flavours and dishes they have not tried.

This Panna Cotta for instance, is accessible both technique and price wise whilst also having some elements of exploration.

My culinary journey began in my first year at the University of St Andrews. I made this Instagram account to document my journey and growth in the culinary world. It started as a side project and was a very small aspect of my life, but now it has blossomed into so much more. I am incredibly keen on the presentation of my dishes and I hope that this shines through on the page, and I think it is a reflection of my passion and personality!
